UbuntuNet-Connect 2024 is the 17th UbuntuNet Alliance research and education conference. This year the conference is being hosted by the Tanzania NREN, TERNET, in the vibrant city of Dar es Salaam on 31st October 2024 and 1st November 2024.
The conference is set to have the theme: “Maximizing Technological Advancements in Research and Education.“
With technology evolving at an unprecedented pace, this conference is set delve into the transformative power of technology within the realm of research and education. The chosen theme underscores UbuntuNet Alliance’s commitment to exploring how emerging technologies can elevate the quality, reach, and impact of research and education pursuits in the UbuntuNet community and beyond.
UbuntuNet-Connect 2024 will focus on topics such as advancing network infrastructures, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, high-performance computing (HPC), digital tools and open science. We believe that by harnessing these technologies, we can elevate the quality, reach, and impact of research and education initiatives in our community and beyond.
The conference shall also focus on issues surrounding technological advancements such as the challenges faced in adoption of technologies, ethical considerations, diversity and inclusion.
