The AfriGEO has had strong ties with the AfricaConnect3 which is a pan African Project being championed by the three clusters, namely UbuntuNet Alliance, WACREN and ASREN. Building on the previous engagements, the workshop will provide insight on potential collaboration between the African Regional Research and Education Networks, with the support of the AfricaConnect3 project, and the African Group on Earth Observation (AfriGEO). It will also entail showcasing of the new strategic services that AfricaConnect3 is putting in place, beyond connectivity, to continue supporting research and education in the continent. The workshop is planned to take place early July.
